An offset printing process requires the use of printing plates. The layout of a brochure is set on a printing plate, which in turn is molded onto a rubber blanket. This rubber blanket is then used to transfer the design of the tri fold brochure onto the printing surface. The various mechanical processes involved in offset printing can take a lot of time.
